![]() The research methodology in this study is qualitative field research in analytical type. This study deals with the teaching of reading skills and its difficulty in the high school Air Bangis in West Pasaman. The implementation of several changes to health regulations and protocols encourages the emergence of social distancing behavior and minimizes the possibility of a crowd in the school community. The learning in school can be carried out if there are careful preparation and discipline in applying it so the learning can be safely for school residents. The learning can be well implemented with some development of the school itself following the New Normal Era health protocol in achieving educational goals. The results in this study describe the school preparation in implementing changes in government policy about the learning process in a full-day school program during the New Normal. Data analysis using interactive qualitative by Miles and Huberman. Data collected by observation, interview, questionnaire filling, and documentation. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study. This study aims to explore the results of changes in the learning process of a full-day school. Keyword: integrated curriculum, Islamic fullday school, character buildingĬhanges in government policies in the education sector are to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This model is closer to the model of webbed that uses a thematic approach, then developed sub-themes with regard relation to the related fields of study This model support the program of students’character building to have a high moral standard, intelligent, creative, polite, and virtuous. By employing a qualitative approach, the study revealed that the School curriculum combines the National Curriculum (K-13) with a number of distingtive Schools program (such as Quran recitation, arabic language, religious practices, educational visits), supported by a learning system that combines a contextual approach, acive learning, habituation, as well as exemplary approaches. The prupose of the study is to describe the model of integrated curriculum implemented in Integrated Islamic Fullday Schools in the context of the students’ character building, where the social setting was at Islamic Junior High School Al Azhar Jambi. Kata kunci: kurikulum terpadu, sekolah Islam fullday, pembangunan karakter Abstract. Model ini mendukung pembentukan karakter siswa berakhlak mulia, cerdas, kreatif, santun, dan berbudi luhur. Model ini lebih dekat pada model jaring laba-laba yang menggunakan pendekatan tematik, baru kemudian dikembangkan sub-sub tema dengan memperhatikan kaitannya dengan bidang-bidang studi terkait. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa model kurikulum Sekolah memadukan antara Kurikulum Diknas (K-13) dengan sejumlah program unggulan Sekolah (seperti tahfidzul qur’an, bahasa arab, praktek ibadah, kunjungan edukatif), yang didukung dengan sistem pembelajaran yang memadukan pendekatan kontekstual, acive learning, dengan pendekatan pembiasaan dan keteladanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model kurikulum terpadu pada sekolah Islam terpadu dalam konteks pembinaan karakter siswa, dengan setting sosial pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Al Azhar Jambi. ![]()
